Bio – Laurel Hermes C.M.T.

It is my pleasure to cultivate a small, joyful practice in the Bay area.

My bodywork approach creatively integrates an array of modalities selected based on the needs of the client as assessment and practiced intuition indicate.  Techniques might include: Holistic Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Sculpting, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Hydrotherapy, assisted stretching, Breath & Subtle Energy Work, Neuromuscular therapies and others. I have worked frequently with athletes and people recovering from injury.

My style has been described as Intuitive, Creative, Sensitive and Technically skilled.

I completed a 1000 hour Massage Therapy program in 1995 at Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ. DIHA offered an anatomy and physiology intensive program with an emphasis on integrative bodywork modalities and assessment methods. I have since then developed (and forever more continue to develop) technical skill, creative application, intuitive ability and a general body of knowledge. CAMTC#50725.
