Here are a few guidelines that keep things going smoothly. Thank you for your support and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to call should you have any questions or concerns.

Scope of Practice

Certified Massage Therapists are not licensed to diagnose. Please keep your therapist informed of any known medical condition and/or changes, as it relates to massage.

Privacy and confidentiality

Your personal information will be kept private. Online documents are secure and HIPPA compliant.

Scheduling and Arrival

Sessions are appointment only. The therapist reserves the right to refuse service. Hours and rates are subject to change.

Tentative appointments are subject to change until confirmed. Please confirm an offered appointment at your earliest opportunity to ensure it remains an available option.

Arriving: GreenKey shares cooperative space with other health arts practitioners. In Oakland, you will find both parking and office with the “Sima Space” group. Upon arrival, please enter the entry waiting room located in Suite 2D and relax until your appointment time. There is tea and water for you in the waiting room. The restroom is in the main hall near the stairs. See Location.

Late: If you are running more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, please call and let us know you are on your way. You should expect that your session will end at the originally appointed time. We promise to make the most of the time you have.

Cancellations and Appointment Changes

Please call if you cab not make the appointment.  We are happy to reschedule.

24-hour Cancellation Policy

At least a 24-hour notice of cancellation is required or you will be charged in full for the missed appointment. This policy applies to appointments made same-day, as well. Thank you for understanding.

In Case of Illness

Please reschedule if you are ill or have a contagious condition. Cancellation policies are waived if short notice is unavoidable in these circumstances. Thank you for your consideration.

First Time Clients

New Client appointments are not scheduled online. New Client Paperwork should be completed prior to the appointment time. It is important to allow the therapist time to review and assess your information. Forms are sent via a secure online service. If preferred, a pdf version is also available for the client to print, complete and return. Initial appointments include a little extra time for an initial assessment interview prior to the actual bodywork session beginning. See New Client Page.

Prospective Insurance Clients

In the event insurance can be billed by GreenKey Wellness, the full verification process must be completed prior to scheduling the appointment. Alternatively, a receipt is available for the client to seek reimbursement directly. ClThe clients the responsible billing party under all circumstances. See Insurance

Payment

GreenKey Wellness accepts cash, check, major credit cards and most HSA/FSA cards. Client to verify HAS/FSA coverage and terms prior to scheduling. There is a $25 fee on returned checks.

Clients are responsible for payment of services rendered. Payment is due at the time the service is rendered unless Insurance has been verified as billable. In the event that Insurance or FSA/HSA companies refute billing, the client is the responsible party.

Silence your Cell Phone

Please help us maintain our calm and focused atmosphere. Put your ringer on silent and refrain from talking on your cell phone while in the GreenKey Wellness Office.

Smoke & Strong Scent Free

To respect and accommodate the different needs required of our space, please do not wear scents on the day of your session or smoke directly prior to the appointment.  GreenKey Wellness uses unscented lotion, oil and linens.  Aromatherapy is, on occasion, utilized therapeutically.
